このPea Coatのデザインソースは、フィレンツェのメンズストアTIE YOUR TIEオーナーだった故フランコ・ミヌッチ氏が愛用していたPea Coatです。アメリカ海軍の兵隊が使っていたものをデザインソースにしたありきたりなPea Coatと違って、これは都会的な雰囲気があるので、とてもお勧めです。

The design of this Pea Coat was inspired by the Pea Coat worn by the late Franco Minucci, owner of the Florence men's store TIE YOUR TIE. Unlike the ordinary Pea Coats that are inspired by those worn by US Navy soldiers, this one has an urban feel to it, so I highly recommend it.

フランコ・ミヌッチさんが愛用していたPeaコートは、フランコさんが蚤の市で見つけたヴィンテージコートをデザインソースにFirenzeのサルト、サルトリア・セミナーラに特注したものだそうです。Vゾーンは広め、ボタン間隔がよくあるPeaコートよりも狭くデザインされていて、とても素敵なコートです。ドライブ時にも最適です。そのコートをデザインソースに日本のファクトリーでオリジナルのコートを開発しました。受注生産で皆様にお届けします。装いの雰囲気は動画をご覧いただけたら嬉しいです。

The Pea coat worn by Franco Minucci was custom-made by Sartoria Seminarra, a tailor in Firenze, using a vintage coat that Franco found at a flea market as the design inspiration. It has a wide V-zone and the buttons are spaced closer together than most Pea coats, making it a very nice coat. It is also perfect for driving. Using that coat as the design inspiration, we developed an original coat at a factory in Japan. It will be made to order and delivered to you. 生地の色はオリーブとネイビーの２色

上の動画はオリーブ生地を使ったものですが、定番のネイビー生地を使ったものもあります。

Fabric「Loden wool by Drapers」

わたしはさまざまな装いのアイテムをクラシックスーツからカジュアルウェアまで幅広く買い集めてきました。その経験を踏まえて選んだ生地がカチョッポリというナポリの生地商社が提供するローデンウールです。

I have collected a wide range of clothing items, from classic suits to casual wear. Based on that experience, I chose loden wool, provided by a fabric trading company in Naples called Cacioppoli.

ローデンウールは、ヨーロッパのアルプス地方の非常に寒い環境の中でも耐えられるように、非常に高密度なウールでできています。ですからあったかいだけでなく丈夫です。

Loden wool is made of very dense wool so that it can withstand the extremely cold environment of the Alps in Europe. Therefore, it is not only warm but also durable.

生地の品質を判別する目安として、目付けというものがあります。１メートルあたりの生地の重さです。

There is a rule of thumb for judging the quality of a fabric, which is the weight of the fabric per meter.

この生地の目付けは1mあたり530gですから、かなりしっかりした生地です。
でもご心配なく。実際に着てみると、そんな重さは全く感じないです。これは、私が選んだ日本のファクトリーの職人たちの仕立てがいいからなんです。

The weight of this fabric is 530g per meter, so it is a very sturdy fabric.
But don't worry. When you actually wear it, you don't feel the weight at all. This is because the tailoring by the craftsmen at the Japanese factory I chose is excellent.

一般的にスーツの場合、大体、1mあたり、300から400gぐらいですが、このPeaコートの生地は、1mあたり530gですからとても丈夫です。生地がしっかりしてるので、長く愛用できると思います。これは、20年ぐらいクラシックなスーツを色々愛用してきた、わたしの経験からの意見です。

Generally, suits weigh about 300 to 400g per meter, but the fabric of this Pea coat is 530g per meter, so it is very durable. Since the fabric is sturdy, I think you can use it for a long time. This is my opinion based on my experience of wearing various classic suits for about 20 years.
